Learning From My Gambling Failures

First to clarify the reason I wrote this essay. I have been betting online or at physical betting houses for a great many years. I have discovered, the fixation can grab a hold of you and you won’t even notice it up until you are penniless. Particularly if you’re on a winning streak. I’ve gone through many thousands of dollars in only a short amount of time and to this day on occasion, I will go a bit too far. It seems you’re just having fun until you start to track your losses and the guilt settles in, and then you keep telling yourself "I can get it back" repeatedly. It never works. Then you become queasy in your stomach and the more you attempt the quicker you are deprived.
When you notice that you’re ahead, remain on the UP! When you begin to be beaten, don’t tell yourself, "well perhaps just one more" and again and again, trust me, this concept RARELY ever works. Say you’re playing on slot games, have an amount put aside prior to beginning your action. Don’t exceed that limit, regardless how alluring. If you happen to succeed, put that in a separate cup. Don’t risk your successes no matter what. As soon as you’ve gone through your original set limit, bail out. Leave, whether it is online or at a brick and mortar casino, do not stick around. Always remember, there will be a different day, a different time.
Remember, betting should be exciting not exhausting, sickening work! If you are not enjoying yourself, you do not belong there. If youcan not manage the loss, don’t even begin.
